Broen heter kjærlighet

New single, but forty years since the song was written

What many don’t know, is that soul/pop singstress Grethe Svensen and Tom Roger Aadland played together in rock band Akutt in the early eighties. Even though they have worked in very different genres since then, they have kept their good friendship, and sometimes performed together in informal settings. “Broen heter kjærlighet” (“The Bridge Is Called Love”) is a song that Tom wrote back in 1982, under the cold war. It was a favourite at concerts, but after the band broke up, they forgot about the song. But not entirely, and the last years Grethe and Tom have selected it for special live occasions. Now they release it as a single, forty years after it was written. The song is about the strength of unconditional love.
